Within this elegant sterling silver pendant rests an authentic Roman bronze coin featuring Fausta, the esteemed wife of Emperor Constantine. Adorning the reverse side of the coin is the image of Salus, embodied by Fausta, cradling two of her children in her arms.

Fausta, hailing from the lineage of Emperor Maximian, entered into matrimony with Constantine I in 307, cementing an alliance pivotal for the governance of the Tetrarchy. Constantine held Fausta in profound regard, as evidenced by her elevation to the esteemed title of Augusta in 324, previously holding the distinction of nobilissima femina.

Their union bore fruit in the form of three sons who ascended to the imperial throne: Constantine II (reigning from 337 to 340), Constantius II (reigning from 337 to 361), and Constans (reigning from 337 to 350). Additionally, Fausta blessed the dynasty with three daughters: Constantina, Helena, and Fausta. Notably, Constantina wedded her cousins Hannibalianus and later Constantius Gallus, while Helena entered into matrimony with Emperor Julian.
